What personal data do we collect, who do we share it with and why?
Gaslands.com is an independently hosted WordPress.org powered site, which uses Google Analytics to track site statistics and Mailchimp for email mailing lists. The forum is powered by the internal WordPress site, and uses a plugin from OneAll to offer the ability to login using your existing Facebook or Google account.

Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=EU
Gasland.com uses the premium Jetpack service from WordPress in order to track how many people are using the site and reading the articles. All data is anonymised and we can’t see who – specifically- viewed something, only how may from a given country or region.
If you use Gaslands.com, we send your location, IP address and a cookie id to Google Analytics in order to track how many people are visiting the site and where the come from in the world and how they found us. All data is anonymised and we can’t see who – specifically- viewed something, only how may from a given country or region.
If you sign up for a forum account on Gaslands.com, we ask for an email address and that email address is then added to our Gaslands mailing list in Mailchimp. You also notice a little mailing list sign up form on some pages of the site, and that – of course – also shares your email address with Mailchimp. When we send you an email using Mailchimp, it has some tracking technology in it to simply let us know how many people opened or clicked on the email (and even that stuff doesn’t work 100% in every email client).
For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
OneAll Social Login Plugin
If you sign up for a forum account on Gaslands.com and choose to use one of the social login options (Facebook or Google) then we use a service called OneAll.com to manage that login. They use standard single-sign on mechanisms, as offered by those social networks, and Gaslands.com never get access to your account details. We don’t even get the email address associated with that social account.
Do we sell your data to anyone?
Your Rights as a Citizen Of Europe
Under GDPR, the data subject (that’s you!) has the right to access and amend any of their personal data that we hold. If you would rather Mike spent his time processing GDPR subject data requests than writing more game content for Gaslands, be my guest.
