Preview: Raiding the Toy Box

As we prepare for the release of Gaslands, the game of post-apocalyptic death racing, we are running down the coolest features of the game, in an effort to explain why we think you just gotta give it a spin. This week: the miniatures!

Gaslands doesn’t have an official line of miniatures. Gaslands doesn’t NEED an official line of miniatures! Gaslands has been designed from the ground up to be played with converted Matchbox and Hot Wheels toy cars. Getting started with Gaslands is as simple as dropped a couple of quid at the local supermarket or a couple of dollars at the local thrift store.

The fun starts when you get them home. Breaking them apart, sticking guns on them, building nitro-boosters, affixing oil cans and luggages and ammo boxes and chains and spikes: the options are endless. You can use weapons raided from other games. You can build custom armour plates, cow-catchers and exhaust pipes out of plastic card or brass rod.

You will find a ton of tips and examples to get your motor going in both our forum and our official Facebook group.

Instead of telling you what Gaslands will let you do, let me allow the Gaslands community to show you what I mean. Here are a selection of the awesome builds from the members of the Gaslands community. Check them out!
